This decorative souvenir made from 1961-1963 for NYWF(New York World’s Fair) and presented by United States Steel. It was actually made in Japan.
This small white ceramic dish highlights the famous spherical stainless steel Unisphere located in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in the borough of Queens, New York City in the center. Surrounding this World’s Fair symbol of their theme, “Peace Through Understanding,” is surrounded by six world’s fair tourist sights showcasing large companies, including General Motors, General Electric, Bell Systems, IBM, Eastman Kodak, and Ford Motor Company
Decorated with gold gilt accents around edges, including three indentation for cigarettes.
Authentic label still rests on the back of this ashtray. These are harder to find than you might think.
