1929-1930s ROYAL LEERDAM  (HOLLAND) SATIN ART GLASS MADONNA AND CHILD

• This antique piece is in mint condition, with no noticeable flaws.
• The piece is extremely smooth and well made, as well as well weighted for its size, height, and because it’s solid glass.
• Designed by Stef Uiterwaal (Stef Uiterwall) of Holland in 1929 and produced by Leerdam, a Dutch Glasshouse,  for the Royal Glasfabriek Leerdam in Leerdam, The Netherlands. It is embossed with GUSL on the back at the base for Glasfabreik Leerdam and Stef Uiterwaal.
• This beautifully stylized "Madonna and Child" satin glass figure features a woman holding a baby, presumably Mary and Jesus, looks beautiful with lighting. This is a special type of translucent colorless barium glass.
