1950s ROYAL CHINA CURRIER & IVES CREAMER IN “EXPRESS TRAIN” IMPERIAL BLUE
This is a Currier & Ives Creamer made by Royal China, with a train scene pattern. It is drawn from an authentic Currier & Ives Print registered in the Library of Congress. It was produced by them until 1986, when the factory closed.
Many people had these because A&P and Winn-Dixie stores both gave them away or you could buy them with so many groceries, like so very many groceries did at that time.
It is oven proof because the design is sealed under an ovenproof glaze.
Excellent condition, only minor finish issue on bottom foot
Beautiful imperial blue designs all around the creamer of the locomotive. These were transfer ware pieces.
Goes great with a Currier & Ives sugar bowl & lid, which we may still have listed, so be sure to check it out at our Tique-Tock eBay store.
The top with the handle and spout is 4.5” X 3.75” wide. It has a 2.5” diameter at the bottom. It weighs 7.2 ounces before packing.
