• Candy canes have always been a symbol for around the holiday season and a favorite of the lady that designed "Peppermint Twist," Leslie Gates, made it easy for her to decide with what to decorate a holiday pony.  Because the candy on this pony is handpainted and embossed, it really makes it pop.  
• He was released at Christmas time in  2008 by Westland Giftware for Enesco and retired in 2009, with the last number being 2E/1693. The Trail of Painted Ponies line is based on the New Mexico public art project by the same name.  Ponies and horses have always been a true inspiration for people, standing in part because of their beauty, but also because of the natural part of the American spirit and role they’ve played throughout the nation’s history to its people.  
• All Painted Ponies are made with solid resin and mounted on a base and numbered so that people can tell at which point it was made in its short time of production because they are all limited.  Once their production has been run, their cast is destroyed and of course is not available to be re-run at a later time.  That is one reason they're very collectible and have already seen an increase in their value to upwards of $500 for some.   Ours is item number 12286 out of 20000 and is in excellent condition.
• This individually designed pony  features a white glittery horse with beautiful red and white raised striped candy canes and peppermint twists with green accent lines to add the color trio often thought of at this time of year.  Although the pony is supposed to be in a walking state, you can tell he knows how to make it a regal one with how high he reaches his front leg and how far ahead he stretches the other.  You can just picture the addition he would make to any holiday parade!
• Horse measures 8" wide x 6.5" tall x 2.5" deep, prior to being put in his original box and then wrapped.
