RARE! ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ERA (LATE 1800S - EARLY 1900S) HAND-PAINTED BRISTOL GLASS VASE
Elegant glass vase in very good condition, we believe made in the Victorian era, in England
Made of "bristol" glass that we believe could be green opaline, but we are by no means experts, so please look carefully at the pictures and decide for yourself. The glass is semi-opaque, looking more like skim milk than whole.
Flared top and urn shaped body with concentric circles designs make this vase lovely
As you can see in the pictures, even though the glass is beautiful, age has taken a bit of a toll on the handpainted botanical natural designs.
Vase is a light teal, milky green color with hand-painted with what we believe to be enameled rust orange leaves, creamy white flowers and grass green leaves cradling the little flowers.
The bottom of the vase has a very indented pontil that’s just a bit rough, characteristic of these blown pieces from the 19th century.
