RARE PRIMITIVE CAST IRON COAL BURNING CHIMNEY SAD IRON PRESS

• Primitive, dating back to 1800s, perhaps into EARLY 1900s
• Bearded man embossed on the back
• Black paint appears original, but in amazing condition!
• Shield which protects the hand from heat while holding original wood handle
• Note few scratches and scrapes in pictures
• No numbers or other distinguishing marks which might identify the maker
• Has the original pull pin on the back that releases the top, allowing for charcoal placement
• Heavy, weighing 7.3 lbs
