ANTIQUE 1890s VICTORIAN ERA DITHRIDGE & CO. RAY END FLEUR DE LIS #19 BUD FLOWER GLOBE/ORB MILK/OPALINE GLASS HAND-PAINTED ROUND VASE

• Dithride & Company was founded in America in 1860s and closed in first five years of the 1900s.. They were located in Pittsburgh and Jeannette, Pennsylvania.  They specialized in those years in EAPG that was multiple colors of milkglass table and novelty items.
• Orb vase is in excellent condition, but handpainted colors have started to show loss.  We were able to only find one other vase like this and it had lost almost every bit of its color, but its beautiful white shape still remained, just like those few places where ours has given way to reveal its amazing scrolled design.
• Vase is made of silky white milk/opaline glass, in an almost translucent state.  We read it compared to a skim milk look, as opposed to the whole milk look of more modern since the mid 20th century milk glass, in many people’s opinions.
• As many mold EAPG pieces had, this one has a bit of a rough mold opening, but it’s not chipped, cracked or damaged in any way.
• Hand cold- painted colors on the orb’s three dimensional designs include light slate blue, dark brownish-green and buttery yellowish-gold.
• Measures approximately 5" widest diameter x 5" tall
