1960s "THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF OHIO" CINCINNATI SKYLINE GLASS PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR OHIO
Excellent condition, no signs or wear or age as you’d expect for its age
"The Wonderful World of Ohio" written in a burst of color over frosted outside glass in a fun, colorful font is on the front of the glass. The inside of the glass is left smooth, as well as the glass rim. This was a 1960s campaign to increase tourism in the state of Ohio. Magazines, trays, glasses, a travel film and other things I’m sure were part of this advertising campaign.
At least nine glasses made up this promotional set in the beginning, so this might just be the one to complete yours. This front features Cincinnati Skyline drawn image.
Back of glass features circle map of Cincinnati roads and interstates, as well as a short summary about Cincinnati being the “Gateway to the South.”
Map is surrounded with Ohio flag, buckeye (state tree), carnation(state flower) and cardinal (state bird).
